JLM HID Conversion Kit 9006 6000K (Diamond White)

JLM HID Xenon lights are designed to be at least 3 times brighter and last 10 times longer than halogen lights. HID produces supreme light output providing drivers with greater visibility, therefore promotes increased comfort and safer night time driving condition. HID also consumes 35% less power and generates less heat during operation. Motorcycles and automobiles currently use a 12 Volt electrical system for their headlamps. HID lighting systems require over 20,000 volts to ignite the bulbs. Once lit, they only require 12 volts to keep running. JLM 12V 35W HID Conversion Kits are suitable for every car make and model that is powered by a 12V battery (which means most standard vehicles)...

I installed this 6000K 9006 bulbs HID kit on Honda Civic 2009.
The kit comes with two ballasts for each HID lamp. Each ballast has brackets with bolts included. It is a direct plug and play. Instructions are not clear but simple and you don't really need them. Just plug the harness for the stock 9006 bulb to the ballast and then plug the ballast to the HID bulb from the kit. Instructions include the pictures though. There's a tiny thing but it can be figured out quickly: someone here at amazon complained that he got only one bulb working. Here's why. The harness coming from the ballast which plugs into the stock harness has two wires of course: plus and minus (ground, earth). However, the connector can be plugged either side to the stock harness. You must connect the harness that comes from the ballast to the stoke one plus to plus and minus to minus. That is, red to red and black to black. In place of red, there can be brown or blue though - depends on your vehicle. Honda has brown. If you get only one bulb working, just reverse the polarity on the bulb that doesn't work. That is, unplug the harness from the ballast from the stock harness and flip up the harness from the ballast other way around and plug it in :) I figured it out very fast - just the polarity.

Caution: don't touch HID and stock bulbs with your bare hands. Put rubber gloves if you have ones or touch the bulbs only where they have plastic frame.
Steps:
1. Install the HID bulb with the ballast already connected. You can install only left or right headlight. Turn you headlights on. Observe if it works. If it doesn't, turn the headlights off. Reverse the polarity of the harness coming from the ballast to the stock harness where original bulb was connected and turn the headlights on. Works.
2. Repeat step 1 for the second headlight.

6000K rating temperature provides adequate light output which is pleasant for eyes. Your eyes don't get tired like with a higher temperature bulb; e.g., 8000k. So, there's no need to buy 8000K if you want blue light output. 6000K is enough. The higher the temperature (in Kelvins), the dimmer the light output is and it is also becomes more blue and then purple. You don't need purple because your eyes will be getting tired. Stock bulbs have temperature of 4300K which is that yellow light output.
The vision has dramatically improved compare to the halogen stock bulbs. When it is really dark on a freeway, I don't need to use high beams anymore. In the rain, it is as good as when there's no rain.
Absolute buy. It's like replacing your stock bulbs with other ones but you need to find the place where screw the ballasts in. In Civic, I found two pits behind the headlights which already had wholes! You will see them once you remove headlights. I just bolted the ballasts there. The price is great, the kit components have good quality. Light output gives new stylish look for you vehicle and your visibility improves. And by the way, there's no glare at all! I checked. Maybe you will need to adjust the height of the headlights projection after installation. They should be aimed at 25ft (approximately 8 meters) on the level of a car in front of you and the height of the beam should be 3ft (90 cm). You can do it against white wall or door of your garage actually.

I will post some pictures later when I get a chance to take ones. -- Perfect HID Kit for the Price
Great product for easy install, nice and cool brightness.Thank goodness for Amazons no-problem on returns and credit, for JLM sent me and charge me twice. -- good buy!!!
I just received my kid today and i installed it myself within 15 min. It was very simple and just had to simply plug and play to get it working. I installed it in my 2002 Jeep cherokee ltd. and wow does these 6000k's look brilliant for its price. I think i would upgrade to 8000k because it is not as blue as i thought i would be but it nice and classy looking. I definitely would recommend this kit to anyone who has trouble seeing the road at night or who wan'ts to show off. i just might get the 3000k for my fog lights but lol thats just me. -- One of best cheap brands of HID kit that actually works!
